FLYNN HIGH PERFORMANCE BUILDING (FHPB) was formed in March, 2008 to assist owners of conventionally built homes and commercial buildings convert their homes & buildings to meet or exceed nationally recognized Green High Performance Building Standards such as NAHB Green, LEED-Homes & LEED REGREEN. We are building the path to zero net energy homes.
On June 6th, 2008,Thomas Flynn became one of the first contractor on Cape Cod, and one of the select group of professional builders & remodelers nationwide, to have earned the Certified Green Professional (CGP) designation through NAHB Green, identifying him as someone with knowledge of the best strategies for incorporating green building principals into homes. In Feb. 2009, the NAHB green building standard became the National Green Building Code and was approved by ANSI.
Thomas is dedicated to making buildings better and to reducing the environmental impact of building & remodeling projects by incorporating appropriate green practices into his work.
FHPB builds exclusively Green & Sustainable - High Performance - Energy Efficient Homes & Commercial buildings. We use diagnostic tools to test the performance of our buildings and programs like NAHB Green or LEED provide ndependent third party people to verifier home was build to meet green certification standards. For remodeling LEED REGREEN is another option although it currently does not offer certification.
The State of MA has done it's part by providing fantastic rebates and tax incentives for solar. The US Federal government finally did its part for energy independence & sustainability with the passage of the renewable energy & home efficiency bill on October 3, 2008 and Feb 2009. These federal incentives are now available for homes and business to make a quick transition toward Zero Net Energy and a Low Carbon economy possible.
